Statement
Nature is Art, my Art is Nature. Inspired by landscapes, the serenity of water, the clouds in the sky, and fields full of grass, and particularly the landscapes of Northern Ontario and Northern Europe, my paintings bathe in the abstract. Blending hints of Jean-Paul Lemieux, Paul-Émile Borduas, and other great Canadian landscape painters before me, one can discern the calm elements of nature (which reflect the artist’s upbringing and travels) and the linear (which reflects the logical thought process) and that dominate the paintings.
